WHAT WE DO
POPCORN TO PROFITS
What if a simple snack could spark a big future? That’s the idea behind Popcorn to Profits, a program teaching West Dayton youth how to build a business, one bag at a time.
Popcorn is more than tasty - it’s one of the most profitable foods you can sell, with margins over 80%. That means every bag is not just a snack, but a lesson in entrepreneurship, marketing, and money management.
WEST DAYTON CONTRACTORS NETWORK
Dayton has committed $16 million to repair homes - but too often, Black-owned contractors are left out of the process. That means local businesses miss opportunities, residents miss out on trusted neighborhood contractors, and dollars that should stay in the community go elsewhere. We are changing that by organizing local contractors, helping them get vendor-ready, and making sure Black-owned businesses have a seat at the table.
SOLAR GARDEN
The Edgemont Solar Garden is more than just farmland, it’s the heart of a movement. For over 40 years, neighbors have gathered here to grow food, share knowledge, and build community. Today, the Solar Garden continues that legacy, offering fresh produce, farmers markets, and hands-on learning for everyone who wants to be part of Dayton’s food future.
CARING ADULTS
Every young person needs a guide - someone who believes in them, teaches them, and shows them what’s possible. That’s what the Caring Adults Program is all about.
We know our community is full of wisdom, skills, and lived experience. Whether you can braid hair, fix a bike, cook a family recipe, build a business, or play an instrument - your gift matters. And we’ll pay you to share it.
